Born on October 11. 1961 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
In 1980 he graduated the High School of Art in the town of Kotel.
He studied „wood-carving“in Prof. Anton Donchev´s class and in 1987 he graduated the National Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia.
Since 1989 the artist has been a member of the Union of Bulgarian Painters.
Hranov ´s work ranges over painting and wood-plastic. Atanas Hranov has 25 individual exhibitions and more than 43 collective exhibitions in Bulgaria (Sofia, Plovdiv, Rousse, Varna, Bourgas) and abroad:
